The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, December 14, 2011 Carol Ann Garcia McDonald passed away Dec. 5 in the Dobson Home Hospice of the Valley in Chandler, Ariz. Carol was born Sept. 28, 1948 in Los Angeles, Calif. Carol grew up in Wickenburg and graduated from Wickenburg High School in 1966. She was a certified medical assistant and worked in Scottsdale for Dr. Andrew Wolin for the past 25 years. She was a 40-year member of the American Association of Medical Assistants. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Chuck, and parents Richard “Mackie” Garcia and Marjorie Garcia. She is survived by sister Kathleen Bennett; brothers Richard, Gary, Gilbert, Louis and Mike Garcia; stepchildren Dave (Kristy) McDonald, Paul (Maryann) McDonald, and Laurie (Greg) Tanner; godsons John V and Jake Sparks; stepmother Patricia Garcia; lifetime friend Julie Sparks and several nieces and nephews. She was born September 28, 1948 in Los Angeles, CA. Carol is preceded in death by her husband Charles (Chuck) McDonald and survived by brothers Gary, Richard (Jeana), Gilbert (Anna), Louis and Michael (Tammy) Garcia, sisters Kathy Bennett and Julie (John) Sparks, stepchildren, David (Kristy) McDonald, Paul (Maryanne) McDonald, and Laurie Ann (Greg) Tanner, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 Godson's, and many nieces and nephews. Carol moved to Wickenburg, AZ with family in 1958 and graduated in 1966 from Wickenburg High School. She graduated from South Western Preparatory School in 1967 as a certified medical assistant. Carol was a proud member of the AAMA for over 40 years and worked for Dr. Andrew Wolin for the last 25 years. Remembrances in Carol's name to Hospice of the Valley 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 preferred. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service 11 am Saturday December 17, 2011 at TriCity Calvary Chapel, 2334 E.
