CRONIN, John Ahearn


Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, AZ Wednesday, December 14, 2011 John Ahearn Cronin, age 89 of Miami, peacefully joined his beloved wife, Rita Mae, on Dec. 5, 2011, at Copper Mountain Inn. He was born in Tucson, Ariz. on July 28, 1922, the son of Elizabeth (Ahearn) and Daniel Cronin. John was raised in Tucson and graduated from the University of Arizona with an engineering degree. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a medic in World War II. When Jack returned he worked at Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company. Jack was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, Pinal Mountain Elks #2809 and the American Legion. He loved his dogs, all Kerry Blue Terriers and all named “Bill.” He loved to work in his yard, garden and bird watching. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Mae Cronin on May 8, 2009. Jack leaves behind in loving memory, Colleen (Gary) Rebello, Terrie (Hoss) Kessner and Tim Pawlowski. Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 844 W. Sullivan St., Miami, AZ 85539, phone 928-473-3568. Services were held Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 844 W. Sullivan St., Miami, Ariz. Interment was private. Funeral arrangements for John A. Cronin were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Miami.
