Mahanke, of Chino Valley, Ariz., formerly of La Mesa, Calif., died at home Nov. 21, 2006 after a short illness. Hank was born in Florence, South Dakota, on October 6, 1926, two Bert and Vera Mahanke. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was one of the first dune buggy enthusiasts of the 1950's in Octavio Wells, California. He worked for Solar Turbines until his retirement in 1985. He was predeceased in death by his parents; his sister, Barbara; and brothers, Don, Glenn, Connie in Merton. Hank is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 58 years, Barbara; son Dan; daughter-in-law, Randea; brother, Francis; sisters, Jeanette, Jeanice and Judy; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
