The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, May 11, 1972 Charles Bones Rites On Friday Charles J. bones, 79, died on Tuesday, May 9, at Whipple Veterans Administration hospital here. Born on May 22, 1892, in Prescott, he had been a native of Arizona all of his life. He was involved in various occupations, having mined, ranched and done carpenter work most of his life. Bones was a former member of the Prescott Rifle Association and attended many meetings. At one time he was considered a sharpshooter and won many metals in various meets. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include a nephew Charles, of Phoenix, and three grandnieces and two grandnephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
