STOKICH, Ivan Walter

Mr. Ivan Walter Stokich, of Akron, Ohio was born on August 18, 1928 and passed on February 4, 2004 after a battle with lung cancer. 

Ivan was a retired Lt. with the Akron Fire Department for 31 years. He was married to his childhood sweetheart, Mary for 41 years. 

He retired to Phoenix, AZ in 1985. He enjoyed golf & spending time with his grandchildren. 

Father Walter, Mother Latinka & daughter Aleda-Ann preceded Ivan in death. Ivan is survived by Wife Mary (George) Stokich; son Daniel, his Wife Dina, his grandsons Andrew & Christopher; daughter Stephanie; Son Greg his wife Cherry & their daughter Katherine; Also sons in Akron Ohio, Ivan, Virgil & their families. 

Visitation & Services were at the Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel. Viewing & Services were held at Serenity Chapel on Mon., Feb. 9, 2004. Donations can be given to The American Lung Association.
