MCINNES, JR., James King (Buddy)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 12/16/2011 James King McInnes, Jr., (Buddy), 85, of Eagar and Lubbock, Texas died Dec. 2, 2011 surrounded by family. He was born Jan. 7, 1925, in Spring Canyon, Utah, the son of the late Isabelle Maxwell McInnes and James King McInnes, Sr. He was the second oldest of six siblings. On Nov. 20, 1946, he married Bette Ann Tirey who preceded him in death Feb. 3, 2000. They were sealed in the Mesa Arizona Temple March 19, 1997. James served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1944-46 in the CORP of Engineering. After being discharged he was employed by Exxon for 29 years retiring in 1985. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. James was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Isabelle McInnes Wittwer and a sister, Hannah Bradshaw. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Motes of Gilbert; sister Betty Jane Lund Lee of Eagar; brothers: Andrew (Laura Mae) McInnes of Albuquerque, N.M.; Murray McInnes of Oregon; Max (Nancy) McInnes, of Prescott; daughters: Pam Stewart of Big Spring, Texas; and Debbie McInnes of Eagar; sons: King (Terrie) McInnes; Laran (Violet) McInnes, both of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren: Heath Stewart, Andy Stewart, Tirey McInnes, Laurel Dobbs, Rachel Erickson, Maggie Mason, Jesse Barnes, Paige Wilkins, Scotts McInnes, Kalab McInnes, Sharon McInnes, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Burnham Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagar Stake Center. Interment will follow the services at the Eagar Cemetery.
