LOCKWOOD, Burns (Pete)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 12/16/2011 In loving memory of Burns "Pete" Lockwood who died Dec. 6, 2011. He was born Nov. 7, 1930, in Globe to Kenneth D. Lockwood and Helen J. Plummer. He loved fishing and hunting from Arizona to Minnesota with his lifelong companion of 50 years, Jennie. He was a dad, brother, uncle and grandfather to many and will be greatly missed. He owned and operated his own businesses in Holbrook including The Arizona Tavern and a local gas station before self retirement. He is survived by his two daughters: Corinna Simpson of Show Low, and Pam Lockwood of Tenn.; son Peter Lockwood of Tenn.; 12 grandchildren: Jessica, Erin, Ian, Shay, Levi, Justin, Ricardo, Charlie, Neil, Robbie, Shannon and Jennifer; 17 great-grandchildren; sister Amy (Jim) Rotz of Coolidge and brother Kenneth Jr. (Juanita "Needy") Lockwood of Elk River. He was preceded in death by his sons, Robert and Michael Lockwood; daughter Diane Todakonzie; grandson Adam Lockwood and great-granddaughter Zoey McNeil. He will be forever missed. Arrangements were handled by Black's Show Low Mortuary.
