Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Thursday, December 15, 2011 Jim Dawson 71, of Lancaster, KY departed with the angels on December 13th after a seven year brave battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Born in Wayne, Michigan to Edward and Ruth Dawson, he was the oldest of six children including Janice (CA, Eric(now deceased) Judy(GA), Lonn(AZ), and Cathy(CA). He is survived by his wife Sue, children Cindie McAuther(AZ), Mark James Dawson(FL), and Robin Weinrich (GA),two grandchildren, Josh and Ian McAuther, and a mother in law Crystal Sweet(KY). Jim retired to Kentucky in 2008 from a long career in the automotive and medical sales and was a small business owner in Michigan, Georgia, Long Beach, CA and Flagstaff, AZ. He was one of the founders and past President of SenesTech, Flagstaff. He has been a sober member of the Alcoholics Anonymous since 12/15/1989, where he cherished most supporting Hospitals and institutions work with other AA members. He gave many gifts of his time and love including to make a wish foundation, having organized several successful golf tournaments contributing to the dreams of many children. Jim was a member of First Christian Church in Danville, KY. His laughter, generosity, love for adventure on the ocean and the world's great golf courses, and his very special love for his "bride" of 28 year, his dear friends and wonderful family fulfilled his life.
