McCall Died Thursday
Byron Lee McCall, 58 died at Yavapai Community Hospital Thursday.
He was born on Sept. 18, 1916 in Fairview, Mo. and had been a resident of Prescott for the past 31 years, having moved here from Kansas.
He was commercial manager for station KYCA for 25 years, station KNOT for two years, and had worked at the Courier for 2 1/2 years.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, where he sang in the choir and ushered and was an elector. He was a member of the Smoki people and attended Kansas State University and Friends University in Wichita, Kan., and also attended Chicago School of Fine Arts.
Survivors include his widow, Kathleen, of Prescott Country Club; one son, Mark, of Tempe; one daughter, Kim at ASU; his mother, Mrs. Lee McCall, of Wichita, Kan.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. today until rosary time at 7:30 p.m. at Memory Chapel.
Family suggests memorials to coronary unit at Yavapai Community Hospital or Sacred Heart Church.
