ADAMS, Clyde Blair


The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, October 22, 1974 Clyde Adams Clyde B. Adams, 74 died Monday at the Whipple VA Hospital. He was born on Oct. 31, 1899 in Kerns, Tex., and had served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Rainbow during World War I. After discharge he moved to Liberty, Ariz. He married Vera Wilder on Dec. 28, 1922 and the family moved to Vancouver, Wash. in 1932 and lived there 18 years after which they moved to Anchorage, Alaska. He was a carpenter and retired in 1965 and moved to Los Angeles. He moved to Chino Valley two years ago. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Alaska. Survivors include his widow, Vera, of Chino Valley, three sons, Millard, of Dallas, Tex. Ray of Singapore, China, and Harold, of Anchorage, Ak., two daughters, Mrs. Marie Carroll, of Sylmer, Calif. ,Mrs. Lucille Bjerke, of Vancouver, Wash., 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three brothers, Tom and Dan, of Chino Valley, and Fulton, of Pine Top, Ariz; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Zimmerman, of Portland, Ore; Mrs. Kathleen Lowshe, of Prescott; Mrs. Louise Schilling, of Phoenix, and Mrs. Lois Henry, of Santa Ana Calif. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Memory chapel. Services will be held at Memory Chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
