Henry (Hank) DeJonge went to be with the Lord on Dec. 7, 2011 after a lengthy illness. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1948 and served during the Korean War.
After living in England for many years, he settled down in New Jersey, but later moved to Lake Havasu in 1972, where he opened his own insurance company, "DeJonge Insurance" and retired in 1994. Henry was active in the Lions Club, DAV, and VFW.
He leaves behind his wife, Jean DeJonge; five children, son, Henry DeJonge IV, and Marilyn of Gilbert, Ariz.; daughter, Cheryl and John Vanderjagt, of Mesa, Ariz.; son, Steven and Lyn DeJonge, of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Leslie and Luke Orton, of Maw Wah, N.J.; and son, Mike and Julie DeJonge, of Temecula, Calif., along with 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Robert DeJonge; and great-grandson, Logan Vanderjagt. He will be buried at the Riverside National Cemetery for Veterans in Riverside, Calif.
