Henry Edward Durbin passed away Dec. 10, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 99. He was born to John and Florence (Whitfill) Durbin June 3, 1912, in Alma, Texas.
Henry and his wife, Mary, moved to Lake Havasu in April 2002, from Hemet, Calif. Henry most recently worked as a furniture maker for the Vista Furniture Co. in Anaheim. He was an avid vintage car enthusiast and loved attending car shows. Henry was a member of the Antique Car Club and had owned a 1926 Model T Ford Touring Model. He was also a big Diamondback fan and was one of their biggest fans. Henry made a lot of friends over the years and will be deeply missed by all who were privileged to know him.
Henry leaves behind his two sons, Jackie Glenn Durbin and his wife, Darlene, of Lake Havasu, and Bobby Don Durbin and his wife, Judy, of Temecula, Calif.; six grandchildren, Deanna, Derek, Marsha, Darren, Deidra and Andrew; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary.
Graveside services will be Dec. 20, 1 p.m., at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif.
The family has asked that donations be made in Henry’s memory to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.
