LAKE, Robert Francis


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Thursday, December 15, 2011 - Robert “Bob” Francis Lake went to be with the Lord Dec. 12, 2011 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 82. He was born in Bell, Calif., July 1929, to Robert and Rose Lake. Robert married Clara Lake August 1957, in Ojai, Calif. They raised their two daughters in Camarillo, Calif. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired from the Navy Civil Service where he served as a project manager for the Trident Missile Program. He received a Meritorious Civilian Service Award from Point Mugu. After retiring from Civil Service, Robert and Clara moved to Lake Havasu City. Robert loved his hobbies and clubs. He belonged to the Desert Hawks RC Flyers, Havasu RC Car Club, London Bridge Golf Club and Lake Havasu City Sportsman Club. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Clara Lake; daughters, Jeanette Joseph and Laura Albertson; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many family and friends. A viewing will be at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Dec. 16, from 6-8 p.m. A service will be at Ivy Lawn Cemetery, in Ventura, Calif., with a burial to follow at Ivy Lawn Cemetery Dec. 19.
