Cornville resident Nina C. Tissaw died Jan. 1, 1993.  She was 83 years old.
     
Mrs. Tissaw was born March 5, 1909, in Mancos, Colorado.  She moved  to Arizona from Colorado the year the Grand Canyon State achieved statehood in 1912.
     
Mrs. Tissaw was a salesperson for Avon.  She was a member of the Cottonwood Seventh-day Aventist Church and worked for many years with the Adventist Food Bank.  Mrs. Tissaw is survived by her spouse, John A. Tissaw; a daughter, Llynn Rhodes of Cornville; two sons, John Tissaw of Tucson and Ted Tissaw of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
     
A memorial service for Mrs. Tissaw is schelduled in the Westcott Funeral Home Chapel Friday, Jan. 8, 11 a.m., with burial following at the Cottonwood Cemetery.
