Tommy Lee Washington, 64, of Avondale, died Dec. 5, 2011, at Palm Valley Hospice in Goodyear.
Mr. Washington was born Sept. 4, 1947, in Coolidge, Texas, to Frankie Lee of Centerville, Texas, and Odell Roland of Malakoff, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Frances; three daughters, Tonika of Avondale, Angela of Tennessee and Rhonda of Lubbock, Texas; three sons, Tommy of Avondale, Stephen of Tennessee and Tommy Jr. of Lubbock; one stepdaughter, Candy; one stepson, Demond of Avondale; 43 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six sisters, Irma Hooper, Idara Anderson, Gloria Flowers, Mertie Lewis, Ella of Avondale and Regina Thompson of Phoenix; four brothers, Bobby of Dallas, Henry, Johnny and Willie of Twenty-Nine Palms, Calif.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. today at New Testament Christian Church, 6516 W. Camelback Road in Glendale. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m., followed by a procession to Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern Ave. in Glendale.
The Rev. R.E. Hall will officiate.
