West Valley View, Avondale, AZ July 13, 2010 Thomas P. Lavin, 78, of Goodyear died July 9, 2010, in Phoenix. Mr. Lavin was born Sept. 23, 1931, in Chicago to Michael and Ellen. He served in the Marine Corps. He was a police officer in Chicago. He moved to Arizona in 2001 and was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; and one son, Mike. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 539 E. La Pasada Blvd. in Goodyear. Memorials may be made to the St. John Vianney's building fund, 539 E. La Pasada Blvd., Goodyear, AZ 85338.
