Grover David Owens Rites Saturday
Grover David Owens, 58, died Wednesday after a sudden illness. He was born April 16, 1915 in Oklahoma and moved to Arizona 34 years ago from that state.
He resided at Apache Junction the last three months but had lived in Prescott since 1945.
Mr. Owens served in the U. S. Army during World War II and had worked at the V.A. Center here for 18 years.
He was a charter member of the Miller Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include; his widow, Ada; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Alice Helmhout of Mesa and Mrs. Lauri Adams of Spring Valley Calif; a son, Grover Jr. of Flagstaff; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Harley Carriker of Humboldt, Kan; Mrs. Tom Cantrell of Wilbur, Neb; Mrs. Lillie Colston of Marrietta, Okla; three brothers, Paul of Coolidge, Raymond of Antlers, Okla. and Frank of Vero Beach, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at Miller Valley Baptist Church, at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 9 with the Rev. Marlin Hall officiating.
Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Visitation is at Memory Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
