Ellis B. Cornish, 60 died Thursday at the Veterans Administration Center, after a lingering illness.
He was born April 15, 1913 in Massachusetts. He moved to Prescott 17 years ago from Colorado.
Mr. Cornish served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II in the European Theater.
He had worked at the V.A. Center in Denver, Colo. for nine years and at Whipple since 1957.
For the past 17 years, he resided at 827 Ruth St. here.
Survivors include: his widow, Harriette; a son, Ellis J. of Prescott; two stepsons, Curtis Proter of Flagstaff and Stephen Porter of Phoenix; his mother, Mrs. Beatrice Phillips and a sister, Mrs. Victoria fish, both of North Hampton, N.H.
Private cremation services will be held at Mountain View Crematory.
Memory Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.
