BLANTON, Joseph Riley

The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, April 4, 1974 Blanton Services April 6 Joseph Riley Blanton, 16, was dead on arrival at Yavapai Community Hospital Tuesday after sustaining a gunshot wound to the chest. He was born at Prescott June 17, 1957, and attended the public schools here before moving to Commerce City, Colo. He resided there until nine months ago when he returned to Prescott. Survivors include; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Blanton of Prescott; two sisters, Mrs. Gloria Kirley of Arlington, Tex. and Mrs. Gail Stearns of West Covina, Calif; two brothers, William of Prescott and Thomas of Kingman. Funeral services have been scheduled at Hampton Funeral Home at 10 a.m., Saturday. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
