Walter H. Page, 58, who resided at 810 Eastwood Drive, Prescott, died suddenly Friday during open heart surgery and Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix.
He was born in Indiana where he made his home all of his life until moving to Prescott in November of 1973.
Mr. Page has been in the insurance business since 1938. For 15 years he and his wife Mary K. operated a general insurance agency in North Salem, Ind. At the time of his death he was a special field representative for Colonial Life and Accident Insurance Company.
He attended Southern Baptist Church of Prescott and he had served on the State Board of the Indiana Baptist convention.
He had been a past deputy district Gov. of Lyons International, he was a Scoutmaster for eight years and has served on the North Salem Town Board for 15 years. He was president of the Eel River School Building Holding Corporation in Indiana at the time of his death.
Survivors include his widow, Mary K. of Prescott; son Larry, of North Salem, Ind.; mother Mrs. J. E. Page; a brother, Jewell of Roachdale, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Carlos (Hazel) Hawkins of Fountain County, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being made with Porter Funeral Home in North Salem, Ind. Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 at Roachdale, Indiana Baptist Church.
In Prescott, memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5 at First Southern Baptist Church, Virginia and Gurley streets.
