The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, April 8, 1974 Almar Oakley, Sr. Memorial Set Almar H. Oakley, Sr., 74, was dead on arrival at Yavapai Community Hospital Sunday. He was a retired personnel director from the American Lithfold Corporation. Mr. Oakley was born March 10, 1900 at St. Louis, Mo. and had been a resident of Prescott and Arizona since October, 1951, residing at 738 Flora St. He was a veteran of World War I and had just finished a term as commander of Barracks 2362 of Prescott. He is survived by: his widow, Mrs. Hilda Oakley of Prescott; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Ann Kremer of Toronto, Canada; four sons, Dr. John E. of Prescott; A. H. of Syracuse, N. Y.; Thomas H. and James S., both of St. Louis, also 15 grandchildren. Private visitation will be held tomorrow for the family at Hampton Funeral Home. Cremation will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Prescott, with memorial services to be held at First Congressional Church. The family requests that donations be made to the First Congressional Church Youth Program, in lieu of flowers.
