GROFF, Peggy Jo

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, February 24, 2007 Peggy Jo Groff, 61, died February 21, 2007, in Cottonwood, Arizona, after a short illness. Peggy was born March 24, 1945, to Boyd and Irene Imhoff. She graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1963. She married Richard Groff on April 23, 1966 and made their home in Pocahontas, Iowa, where they raised their three children. In August 1986, they moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona, where Peggy worked for the town of Prescott Valley. In April of 2005, they retired back to Pocahontas. Peggy has survived by her husband, Dick, of 40 years; children, Jill Noriega, (Igor), of Trabuco Canyon, Calif., R. Michael of Flagstaff, Ariz., Ann Newman, (John), of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexander, Genna, Jocelyn, Joseph and Samuel; brothers, Boyd Imhoff, Jr., of Odebolt, Iowa, Gary Imhoff of Lohrville, Iowa; sisters, Karen Speich of Algona, Iowa, Patricia Hudson of Laurens, Iowa, Linda Bethune of Storm Lake, Iowa, special friend, Roberta Seward of Modesto, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to Pocahontas Catholic School, Pocahontas, Iowa. Viewing will be Tuesday, February 27, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Iowa. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, February 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church in Pocahontas, Iowa. Information provided by survivors.
