D'ATRI,
John Anthony
John Anthony D'Atri, 41, left the arms of family members and countless friends who loved him to be embraced by the arms of his Father in Heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Friday, June 1, 2007.
He died much the way he lived - with dignity, grace, courage, and kindness. John loved pastoring, mentoring, and encouraging others. He loved flying and family. He loved good food and great friends. He loved life and embraced it to the fullest. His earthly battle with brain cancer is over. His new life of joy and peace begins. Through four years of fighting cancer, he never lost hope and never questioned his faith in God.
John was born in Reno, Nevada. He grew up in Tahoe, Nevada where he attended school and eventually returned as a manager of Wells Fargo Bank.
His father, John D'Atri Sr., preceded him in death. He will be deeply missed! He is survived by his wife, Nadine; his three daughters, Moriah, Cassia, and Gabriella; his mother, Livia D'Atri ; his sisters, Vicki and Jan D'Atri; and his niece Gina.
He leaves behind many close friends who faithfully prayed and continually encouraged him right to the end. He died at home in peace. We love you, John. Our lives were so enriched by you and will never be the same without you. See you on the other side.
The Celebration of Life Service took place Friday, June 8th, 2007, at New Life Community Church at 8155 W. Thunderbird, Peoria, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for the children's education. Donations can be sent to Nadine D'Atri, P.O. Box 12415, Scottsdale, AZ 85267.
