The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, November 28, 2006 Wesley (Wes) G. Carlson, 65, loving husband, dad, Papa ,brother, and friend, died Friday, November 24, 2006, at his home in Prescott, Ariz. He was born November 12, 1941, in Minneapolis, Minn., the son of Grant and Mildred (Carlson) Carlson. Wes worked as Director of Pensions for Northwest Airlines and retired after 31 years of service. After moving to Prescott in 2002, Wes worked at Las Fuentes Resort as a van driver for two years and as a receptionist for AAA for two years. He attended Prescott Christian Church and a Bible Study Group. West enjoy traveling, train, and public transportation. He loves helping his kid and others develop perfect college schedules. He was a true family man and enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. Wes was truly proud of his children and grandchildren and his career at Northwest. A friend recently called him a true steward of Northwest Airlines. Wes is survived by his loving and caring wife of 17 years, Sue; his children and their spouses, Debbie and Gary Stone of Schafer, Minn., Annette and Tom Saunders of Farmington, Minn., Erin and Johnathan Meyer, of Bethany, Mo., and Josh and Sharon Lind of Laveen, Ariz.; a sister and brother-in-law, Adeline (Ade) and Tom Pederson live in Norfolk, Neb. Wes is also survived by his wonderful grandchildren, Chaise, Taylor, Kiley, Sebastian; and goddaughter, Nicole Larsen. Also surviving Wes is Betty Froeschle, his mother-in-law; and Sharon and Ken Lewandowski, his friends. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today, November 28, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carlton streets in Prescott. A celebration of Wes's life will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, at Prescott Christian Church, 501 S. Senator Hwy. in Prescott. Final services and burial will take place in Lakeville, Minn., at Hosanna Lutheran Church, at 1 p.m. Friday, December 1, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park in Minneapolis. The family suggests contributions be made in Wes's name to the Salvation Army, 237 S. Montezuma, Prescott, Arizona or Prescott Christian Church, or your favorite charity.
