John L. (Jack) Amaral, 70, passed away November 24, 2006, at home in Prescott, Ariz. Jack was born in San Jose, California, on September 2, 1936.
He received his BA from San Jose State University and after serving in the U.S. Army in Germany he returned and received his Masters Degree from Santa Clara University in 1964.
He married Constance Coombs in 1970 and lived in Los Gatos and Los Altos, California, until he retired from Lockheed Missiles and Space Company in 1995, where he worked in the financial world of the company. When he retired, he moved to Mt. Shasta, California, and in 2003 moved to Prescott, Ariz., to be closer to their son, Alexander, who lives in Tempe, Arizona.
Jack was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Edward A. Amaral and Rose Ann Amaral; and his oldest brother, Edward Amaral of San Jose, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Constance B., of Prescott, Ariz., son, Alex of Tempe, Ariz.; sister, Rosemarie Prentice of San Jose, Calif.; brother, Robert H. Amaral of Morgan Hill, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be in San Jose, California, at a later date.
