Barbara Olsen Denson, 74 died Thursday, November 16, 2006, at Mountain View Manor Care Center in Prescott. She was born April 15, 1932, in Cambridge, Mass., the daughter of Walter and Gladys (Hill) Olsen.
She was employed as an elementary librarian and a teacher. Barbara met and married the love of her life, Eley Denson on March 10, 1951, and a shared 55 years together.
She is survived by her husband, Eley, of Prescott; children, Walter P. Denson of Sausalito, Calif. and Alan (Marilyn) Denson of Issaquah, Wash.; and grandchildren Sean and Kara.
Barbara was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, and she enjoyed international travel and doing crafts and sewing she was proud of her sons.
A private cremation will be held at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
The family suggests contributions in Barbara's name be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, 2033 E. Speedway Blvd., Suite 303, Tucson, Arizona.
Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.
