JANSSEN, Ludwig Cornelius (Louie)


The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, March 17, 1974 Janssen Services Monday Louie C. Janssen, 78, died at the V.A. Hospital Friday. Mr. Janssen was born in Gothenburg, Nebraska, Nov. 26, 1895 and had served in the U.S. Army during WWI. He had worked as a maintenance supervisor for United Air Lines for 20 years, starting in Wyoming and then transferred to San Francisco, Calif. where he had retired 14 years ago. He then moved to Youngtown, Az. where he was a member of Youngtown-Sun City Barracks No. 1144 Veterans of WW I of the United States. He moved to Prescott 4 years ago and lived at 602 Copper Basin Rd. Survivors include his wife, Mary, a son Jack, of Grand Lake, Colorado, a grandson and 2 great-granddaughters, all in Oak Park, Ill., also a brother, Herman of Gothenburg, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held at Memory Chapel, Monday, March 18 at 2:00 P.M. with Chaplain William Eaton officiating and burial to follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Memory Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
