Mrs. Allie B. Cravey, age 68, a resident of Prescott for the past 40 years, died at Yavapai Community Hospital Friday evening. Born April 29, 1905 in Bandera,. She came to Arizona from Texas with her late husband Ray in 1934 and made her home in Prescott where her husband was employed as a heavy equipment operator. The family lived at various times at both the Hillside Mine and the Bagdad Mine.
Mrs. Cravey was an amateur artist and poet and a student of the Indian lore of the Southwest. A nature lover, she spent countless hours in the field in pursuit of her hobbies, and collected an excellent display of Indian artifacts.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Hayes of Oakdale, Calif.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at the family plot at Mountain View Cemetery Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. Friends may call at Ruffner Funeral Home today from 3 to 5 p.m.
