The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, May 17, 1974 Daniel Roe Rites Here Daniel O. Roe, 78, died Thursday morning at the Phoenix hospital. The former residence of Prescott, Mr. Roe had been Arizona manager for the Equitable Life and Assurance Society from 1948 until his retirement in 1961. He resided in Arizona for the past 57 years, the last 26 in Phoenix. He was a former member and past president of the Prescott Rotary Club, past commander of the Ernest A. Love American Legion Post here, charter member of the Inter-city Relations Committee of the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, charter member of the Smoki People of Prescott and a member of Prescott B.P.O.E. number 330. Mr. Roe had made his home at Prescott from 1927 to 1948 and had been in northern Arizona manager of Equitable Life for that period. Survivors include: a daughter, Sally Roden of Phoenix; two sisters and four brothers out-of-state and three grandchildren. Services will be conducted at St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 12 noon Saturday with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Ruffner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
