Delver D. (Jim) Nichols, Jr., 45, died Monday, May 20 in Chino Valley. He was born in Tuelme, Calif., Oct. 25, 1928 and moved to Arizona 45 years ago.
He had lived in Chino Valley for six years and was a construction worker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army a member of Arizona Labor Union No. 383 and active in youth work in Chino Valley.
Survivors include his widow, Lavon; two sons, Robert and James, at home; a brother, Norman of Avondale; two sisters, Mrs. Evon Boone of Toledo, Ohio and Mrs. Joan Richman of Maupin, Ore.; and his mother, Mrs. Mabel Nichols of Avondale, Ariz.
Graveside services will be held at the Chino Valley Cemetery, Thursday, May 23 at 9 a.m. with Rev. Earl Smith officiating.
