GRANT, Walter Nelson (Walt)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, November 17, 2006 Walter N. Grant, born in 1960, passed away at the age of 90 in Prescott, Ariz., on November 15, 2006. He was born in New Madrid County, Missouri, to Edith Lane and Corby Nelson Grant. Walt was a mechanic for McDonald-Douglas Aircraft Missile systems in California, where he retired in 1972. He was an avid fisherman and hunter until his eyesight failed. Walt moved to Prescott Valley in 1989. He always enjoyed country Western music and loved dancing to the local bands. Walt was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian; and sister, Hazel Grant Mathis. He is survived by his brother, Lester, of Torrance, Calif.; daughter, Shelba Jean McIver of Missouri; and stepdaughters, Donna Albus of Prescott and Sue Nelson of Minnesota; as well as numerous grandchildren: great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of Life service for friends and family at a later date. Information provided by survivors.
