The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, November 17, 2006 Velma Hazel Chesney, 86, a loving mother, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the Advent House of Arlington, Texas. Velma was born in Topeka, Kansas on October 22, 1920, and move to Prescott, Arizona, in 1925. In 1988, she moved to Kennedale, Texas, where she lived until her death. Her family wishes to send a special thanks to Arlington Plaza for the many years of friendship and service and to the staff of Odyssey Hospice for all their care during her final days. A heartfelt thank you goes to the Advent House for their wonderful care and comfort during this time. Bill Mann was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Claude G. Chesney; and for brothers, Frank, Walter, Bob and Tom Comstock. Velma is survived by her children, Mickey Mosel and her husband Elmerey of Kennedale, Texas, Claude (Bill) Chesney of Littleton, Colo.; brothers, Bill Comstock of Prescott, Ariz.; sisters, Pat Betzen of Wichita, Kansas, Nora Miller of Prescott, Ariz., and Betty Steward of Prescott, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Velma is proud and excited with the impending arrival of her great-great-grandchild, Harlee Grace Trice, expected in December 2006. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2006, at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott, Ariz. Services entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary. Information provided by survivors.
