Edward Lee Bishop, born October 23, 1915, in Massachusetts, went to be with the Lord November 11, 2006.
Edward served as an electrician in the Navy aboard the USS Gantner and retired as electrical inspector for San Jose, Calif.. He played the banjo with the Banjo Buddies of Dewey, Arizona, for three years after moving to Arizona from Chico, Calif., where he played with the Golden Oldies.
Edward was married 53 years to Edna who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Geoffrey Bishop of Danville, Calif.; and his daughter, Judith Griffin of Prescott, Ariz.. He has to stepsons, John and Robert Benge; and one stepdaughter, Cathi, all of Mesa, Ariz.. Franz, there are three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be in the Chapel at the Prescott Arizona VA on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 1 p.m.
