The Flint Journal, Flint, Michigan Saturday, April 29, 2000 Dorothy C. (Misener) Larson Dorothy C. Larson - age 79, died April 26, 2000 at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. She was born July 28, 1920 in Alpena, Michigan, the daughter of Walter C. and Helen (Russell) Misener. Mrs. Larson worked for 36 years as a checker for two grocercy store chains in Flint, Michigan. She retired in 1981 and moved to Tucson in 1984 and then to Prescott in 1989 to be closer to her family. Mrs. Larson enjoyed reading, cooking and eating out. She really liked to meet new people and form friendships. She was always the first to offer assistance to others in need. While living in Tucson, she volunteered her time at St. Mary's Carondolet Hospital. Mrs. Larson possessed an exceptional sense of humor and optimism, even in difficult times. She was a source of strength to her children. Mrs. Larson was a member of the Willow Creek Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Gary and Don Youngs. Surviving are: daughters, Maeve Wilkins of Standish, Maine, Mary Hoeflicker of Prescott, Arizona; 5 grandchildren; brother, Don Misener of Tucson, Arizona. A memorial service service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 3 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3000 Willow Creek Road, Prescott.
