PRESCOTT, Ariz. - Alvin A. Lillie, 81, born Feb. 5, 1919, in Belvidere, to Orrin A. and Mary (Ashton) Lillie, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, of an illness in Veterans Administration Center, Prescott.
Served in the US Army during World War II.
Married Fern Bird in Rockford on Aug. 17, 1945.
Employed by Hedrick Electric, Rockford, before moving to Arizona. Alvin worked at the Las Vegas Ranch in Prescott, owned by the Delbert Pierce family. He retired in 1982 after working at the VA Hospital.
Survivors include wife, Fern son, Leland of Las Vegas, Nev. daughter, Pat (Duane) Harms of Winnebago five grandchildren, Mark (Kim) Lillie of Ashland City, Tenn., Mary (Mark) Shields of South Lyons, Mich., Tina (Jim) Wiggin of Mahomet, Cheryl (Daniel) Habbeger of Southgate, Mich., and Tim Harms of Winnebago four great-grandchildren sisters, Lois Cameron of Byron, Avis (Dick) Sutton of Washington, Wylma Brooks and Hazel (Darrell) Lantz of Arizona sister-in-law, Margie Lillie of Byron half-brother, Warren Lillie of Nevada and half-sisters, Ruth (Dick) Brooks and Rita McCorkle of Arizona.
Predeceased by parents sister, Dawn and brothers, Sherwood and Cliff.
Services were Wednesday, March 1, in Veterans Administration Center chapel.
Hampton Funeral Home, Prescott, assisted the family.
