The Columbus Dispatch, Columbus, Ohio Wednesday, July 26, 2000, page 6D Christopher Reed Masse, 53, of Prescott, Ariz., died Tuesday, June 13, 2000 in Prescott. He was born Jan. 21, 1947 in New Philadelphia, Oh. to Reed Antoine and Virginia (Dodd) Masse. Mr. Masse moved to Arizona in 1978, he worked for the State of Arizona for 22 years, first as the original case manager in the first office of the Division of Developmental Disabilities. Most recently he served as the area program manager in District III, providing services to those in Yavapai, Navajo and Apache counties. He married Sharon "Sheri" (Herman) Masse on June 12, 1993. He was a musician who played keyboards with several bands, including Cadillac Ranch Band, Big Dog and Micro Beez. Mr. Masse enjoyed camping, canoeing, gardening and growing roses and geraniums. His family knew him as a loving father, husband, brother and friend who was a positive force in the lives of those who loved him. Survivors include his wife, Sheri; daughter, Leah Fine of Prescott, Ariz.; son, Nathan of Prescott; brothers, Dan of St. Augustine, Fla., and Drew of Temperance, Mich.; sisters, Debbie O'Brien of Binghamton, N.Y. and Mary Melfi of St. Augustine, Fla. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother Stephen. Celebration of life service was held June 18, 2000 at Goldwater Lake. Private cremation was at Bradshaw Crematory, Prescott Valley, Ariz.
