Stewart, 75, Prescott Valley, Ariz., formerly of Mapes, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, in a nursing home in Prescott Valley where she had lived since November 1999. Adeline Marjorie Nerison was born Aug. 11, 1924, the daughter of Clarence and Bertha (Orvick) Nerison, in Mapes, where she attended school. She married Charles Stewart on Aug. 1, 1955, in Las Vegas. They lived in several states including Arizona. She moved to McVille, N.D., in 1976 and later to Grand Forks. She moved to Prescott Valley in the fall of 1989. She is survived by daughters, Cheryl (Les) Clements and Carolyne (Dave) Lee, both of Prescott Valley; sons, Charles (Linda Gayle), LaPine, Ala., Cecil (Julie), McVille, Curtis, Prescott Valley, and Calvin (Trina), Cottonwood, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and brothers, John (Marge), Great Falls, Mont., and Malcolm, Prescott Valley. She was preceded in death by a brother, Cameron. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, McVille Lutheran Church. Burial: Center Church Cemetery, Mapes (Stanley-Iverson, McVille).
