WILKENING, Walter Deseniss

Vernon Hills Review, Illinois Thursday, December 21, 2000, page 121 Walter Deseniss Wilkening, 68, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, formerly of Libertyville, died Dec. 10 in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. He was born April 30, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisc. He was a veteran of the Korean War and worked as a systems analyst for Allstate Insurance and Morgan Stanly-Dean Witter. He retired in 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Engel Wilkening, formerly of Milwaukee, Wisc. Survivors include his wife Ruth Wilkening of 46 years; sons David (Angela) of Lake Havasu City, Ariz. and Richard (Sheila) of Crystal Lake, Ill.; daughters Sondra Wilkening of Prescott, Ariz., Diana (Bob) Nikolai of Salem, Wisc., and Suzanne Wilkening of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held Dec. 15 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with the Rev. Bishop Richard Bast officiating. Interment in Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
