MCCARTY, Allen Joseph (Buddy)

Casa Grande Dispatch, Casa Grande, Arizona Thursday, November 30, 2000 Allen J. ‘Buddy’ McCarty, 65, of Whetstone, Ariz., a native of Florence, died Nov. 20. The son of Hunt and Lola McCarty, he was born on Nov. 25, 1934 in Florence and graduated from Florence Union High School. He lived 16 years in Prescott where he was owner-proprietor of Lido Buffet. The last 23 years he has been the owner-proprietor of Buddy's in Whetstone. He is a U.S. Army veteran. He comes from a pioneer family; his great-grandfather and family came to Arizona in 1884. He is survived by his wife, Joetta; daughters, Cathy Joy of Benson and Debby Hobica of Phoenix; son, Buddy Jr. of Whetstone; a brother, Tom McCarty of Glendale; and 10 grandchildren. Services were held in Sierra Vista.
