"Randy" Gummere, 37, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Bloomington, will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. The Rev. Bruce Scarberry will officiate. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. He died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday (July 2, 2000) at his home. He had been ill. Memorials may be made to Banner Hospice, 1325 N. Fiesta St., Gilbert, AZ 85233; or Community Cancer Center, 407 E. Vernon Ave., Normal, IL 61761. Mr. Gummere was born Oct. 2, 1962, at Normal, a son of Jerry and Margaret Eskew Gummere. Survivors include his mother, Margaret (John) Doner, Prescott, Ariz.; his father, Jerry (Joan) Gummere, Bloomington; his fiancee, Jackie Johnson, Mesa; a son, Riley Gummere, Mesa; two brothers, Gregory (Edie) Gummere, Manitowoc, Wis., and Jered Gummere, Chicago; and two stepsisters, Michelle Blair, Bloomington, and Susan Blair, Chicago. A brother, Timothy Gummere, preceded him in death. Randy was a graduate of Normal Community High School and Arizona State University. He was a claims manager for State Farm Insurance Cos. at Mesa.
