PICENO, Emilia Guiu

31 March 1922 - 7 February 2004 Emilia Guiu Piceno, 81, a resident of San Diego, California, passed away peacefully at her home, February 7, 2004. Emilia is survived by her companion of 8 years, William Hieb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Abraham Piceno and her son, Abraham Piceno, Jr. She is survived by her children: Emmanuel Guiu, William Mendez Guiu, Ron (Helen), Robert (Gail) and Elizabeth, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A long-time resident of the Yuma area, Emilia, born in Spain, immigrated to Mexico with her father and sister and became an award-winning movie actress. She retired from acting to raise her 6 children in Gadsden. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
