Clifford Sullivan rites at graveside
Clifford C. Sullivan, Sr., 67 of 712 Delano Ave., Prescott died Monday at Yavapai Community Hospital.
He was born Aug. 13, 1906 at Turkey Creek, near Prescott. He moved to Louisiana at age 3, returning to Phoenix at the age of 14. He moved to Prescott in 1965.
Mr. Sullivan was in the restaurant business in Phoenix and Tolleson until 1957 when he went to work for the Arizona Highway Department as a motor vehicle inspector; he retired from that job in 1973.
He was a student at Yavapai College and was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Prescott Lodge No. 19.
Survivors include: his widow, Esther; daughter, Barbara Jean of Prescott; sons, Charles Richard and Clifford C., Jr.; daughters Mrs. Elmer D. Hess and Mrs. Bill Stephens, all of Phoenix; 14 grandchildren, also two sisters and a brother in California.
Memory Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. Lloyd Ewart at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Mountain View Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
The family suggest contributions to the Emphysema Research Fund, the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
