Merle Kyle Rites Set

Merle Kyle, 85, died a Yavapai Community Hospital Thursday morning. 
Mrs. Kyle had resided in Prescott since 1968 and came from Iowa.

Born June 13, 1888 at Monmouth, Ill., she later attended Windy Ridge 
School near the family farm, Gerton Girls School at Burlington, Iowa 
and then Monmouth College from which she graduated in 1909. 

She is survived by: two daughters, Mrs. Edith Kyle Miller of Prescott 
and Mrs. Phoebe Slaughter of Phoenix; five sons, William and Edwin of 
Idaho Falls, Idaho; Dr. Robert Kyle of Cedar Falls, Iowa, David Kyle 
of Findlay, Ohio, and Hubert Lee Kyle of Greenbelt, Mo.; 23 
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held in August at Monmouth, Ill. following 
local cremation.

Ruffner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
