The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, December 27, 2011 Diana Lee Smith, 70, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., born Dec. 22, 1941, in Los Angeles, Calif., passed away Dec. 24, 2011. Services will be 2 p.m. Dec. 29, 2011, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton streets, Prescott. Graveside service to follow at the Arizona Pioneer Home Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Funeral Home. ~~~~~~~~~ Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, Prescott, Arizona Mrs. Diana Lee Smith, 70, went to be with her Lord on December 24, 2011, at her home in Prescott Valley, AZ surrounded by her family and caregivers. Funeral Services will be held December 29, 2:00 PM at Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott, AZ, by Rev. Gary Graveline. Burial will be in Pioneer Home Cemetery, in Prescott, Arizona. Diana was born December 22, 1941, in Los Angeles, Ca, daughter of the late Lillian and Alfred Ashley. She was joined in marriage to William Robert Smith on June 30, 1963. Diana was preceded in death by her son William “Bill” Smith, and her great-grandson Skyler Griffin as well as her parents Lillian and Alfred Ashley, and her brothers Lynn, Jerry, and Johnny. She is survived by her husband, William Robert Smith of Prescott Valley; three daughters, Deborah K. and Mike Griffin of Prescott Valley, Rhonda and John Etheridge of Carthage, Tennessee, and Deanna Roberts of Prescott, Az; nine grandchildren, Adina, Cory, Billy, Amanda, Ervin, Ezra, Gina, Zachary, Eva; a great-grand child Colton; her sister Deanna Kaiser, and her brother Jimmy Ashley. Diana’s heart was for her family and serving her Lord Jesus. A special thank you to Granite Mountain Hospice Care for their amazing and compassionate care for her and her family until the end.
