Lavina Mae Ortman, 65, of Farmington Hills, MI, passed away on
Wednesday, July 9, 2003.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 26th, 10:00 a.m. at St.
Huco of the Hills Church.

MARICOPA - Lavina Mae Ortman, 65, of Farmington Hills, Mich., and
Maricopa died July 9, 2003 at home.
The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. July 26 at St. Hugo of the Hills
Church.
Mrs. Ortman was born May 4, 1938 in Browerville, Minn., and was a
daughter of Russell and Lavina Fisher Ladson. She was a lab technician
and was Catholic. Also called Sis or Lee by family and friends, she was
known for her intelligence, creativity and determination. As a romantic,
with a sensitivity to the elements of beauty in her surroundings, she
sought out artistic pursuits. She expressed creative qualities most
through sculpture and interior decorating. Among her last and best
efforts was the home she decorated in Maricopa. Survivors include her
husband, William A.; four daughters, Nancy Lee Neidert of Phoenix,
Merrie Jo Moreno of Tucson, Kristy Anne Nyberg of Dubai, United Arab
Emirates, and Keira Therese Ortman of Austin, Texas; a son, William A.
Ortman Jr. of Farmington Hills; a sister, Shirley G. Labrenz of
Birmingham, Mich.; two brothers, Richard O. Ladson of Norristown, Pa.,
and Allan D. Ladson of Chesterfield Township, Mich.; and five
grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Arizona Heart Institute or
American Kidney Foundation.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Casa Grande Chapel was in charge
of local arrangements.
