TREMBLEY, Grant Wright


East Valley Tribune, Tempe, Arizona Saturday July 19, 2003 Grant Wright Trembley, age 84, of Arlington, KS passed away July 16, 2003 at the Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson. He was born November 10, 1918 in Arlington, KS to Joseph and Nellie Wright Trembley. He was a lifetime Arlington community resident. He was a 1937 graduate of Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson Community College and Kemper Military Institute. He was a farmer, rancher and businessman. He was a member of Arlington United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson. He was on the United Methodist Church Administrative Board and was a Conference Delegate for 20 years. He also was on the Grace Hospital Board and was involved in and with the merger of Grace & St. Elizabeth Hospitals. He also belonged to the Hutchinson Hospital Foundation, Reno County Soil & Water Conservation District Board and the Knife & Fork Club. On February 14, 1942 he married Mary Jane Boyd in Hutchinson. She died December 14, 1993. In 1995 he married Carol Whitehead Robertson in Oklahoma City. He is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, Stephen Trembley and his wife, Betsy, of Arlington, Joseph Stanley Trembley and his wife, Jean, of Hoosick Falls, NY; his daughter, Sarah Evans and her husband, Bryan, of Springhill, KS; stepchildren, James Robertson and wife, Claudia, of Oklahoma City, OK, Nancy Dollmeyer and husband, Terry, of Denver, CO; 8 grandchildren, Peter, Amy and Andrew Trembley, Matt Trembly and wife Robin, Stephanie Trumpp and husband Zack, Jon Trembley, Adam and Meredith Evans; 5 step-grandchildren; and 1 great grandson, Chance Trembley. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Potter and Mary Jane Bowles. A Memorial Service will be held at Frist Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson, July 21, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. and a graveside service at Arlington Cemetery, July 21, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. The Reverend Helen Moor Spath presiding. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, at Elliott Mortuary.
