The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, July 20, 2003 Eva Byrket, 79, of Phoenix AZ passed away peacefully on July 18, 2003. She was born in Henrietta, Oklahoma and moved to Arizona in 1967. Survivors include 2 daughters Sue (& Vern) Elliot and Marie Barrows of Phoenix and son Clay (& Emily) Ivey of St. George, Utah and a loving husband James Byrket. She leaves 8 grandchildren: Steve Pingleton, John Pingleton, Allen Elliott, Cheryl Marsland, Betty Rogers, Joe Pingleton, Leon Elliott and Michelle Ivey, plus 5 great grandchildren: Crystal and Joshua Elliot, Jordan and Taylor Rogers and Jared Elliott. Loving mother, wife and grandmother. Retired Honeywell employee and faithful member of Faith Christian Community Church of the Nazarene, Scottsdale AZ. Noted for her tenacious sense of humor and charm. Eva enjoyed family life, friends, church and the pursuit of a good bargain. She will be missed. Memorial services will be held on 11 a.m. Tuesday July 22, 2003 at Faith Christian Community Church of the Nazarene, 5334 E. Thunderbird Road, Scottsdale AZ 85254. The family requests donations to Hospice of the Valley in lieu of flowers.
