Fred M. Colson, 64, of Sun City West passed away July 17, 2003. 
Fred is survived by wife Jeanne, sons Rick and Dan, daughter Kristi, 11 
grand-children and 5 terrific brothers & sisters. Born a Kansas farm 
boy, Fred earned a degree in architecture from Kansas State University 
and devoted a career to city planning including 31 years with the City 
of Phoenix from 1966 through 1996. Fred's passions included raising a 
great family, golf, basketball, country-western dancing, fishing and 
hiking/ exploring the AZ mountains. One of his proudest accomplishments 
was designing and building his own A-frame cabin in the mountains near 
Prescott, AZ, which became a family weekend haven for 25 years. With 
love and guidance, Fred strived to make a difference as a husband, 
father, brother, community member and city planner. 

Funeral mass & reception 11:00 AM, Tuesday July 22, at Prince of Peace 
Catholic Church, Sun City West, AZ.
