The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, July 20, 2003 Betty J. Farris Corazza, slipped peacefully away Thursday evening, July 17th, 2003. Betty left this world the way she lived each and everyday of her life, always surrounded by love. For those of us lucky enough to be a part of her life you were always greeted with "Hi Love" and you knew she meant it from the heart. Betty's passion in life was her family. Her love for her husband Gino, and children did not stop there she embraced their spouses as if they were also her own. Betty was a devoted grandma to her precious granddaughters, she was the kind of grandma who got down in the trenches with the girls and made tents, played house, read stories and could create outfits on her sewing machine for the girls that only Betty could make. She was the kind of grandma all kids should be lucky enough to have. She was also a person that when you met her you left knowing you had been touched by a very unique and special woman. Betty was just Betty and that speaks volumes. She loved her family and she loved her life. She lived her life her way and enjoyed it immensely. Betty also met the end of her life on her terms, with dignity and grace. She left behind countless people whose life she has touched in a positive way. In our lifetime people come and go, if you were one of the lucky ones you knew Betty and you will never forget her. Let that be her legacy, to have known her was to love her. Rest in peace Betty until we meet again. Betty is survived by her loving husband Gino, daughter Gina (Keith) Corazza Patterson, sons Richard (Brenda) Corazza, Rene (Kathy) Mun-day, granddaughters Rosa Lena, Tara Rene, Carly Marie, Cassandra, and Samantha. Sisters Florence Farris, and Geri Balistrieri. A celebration of Bettys life will be held Wednesday, July 23rd, from 6 to 8 pm, with services at 7 pm at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd., Peoria. Remembrances in Betty's name may be given to Hospice of the Valley 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
