The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, July 20, 2003 Marion Elizabeth Dawson, 71, entered eternal rest on July 16, 2003 surrounded by members of her family. Marion was born on March 13, 1932 in Detroit Michigan to Louis and Hermine LeTourneau. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Marion worked for Ford Motor Company in Detroit prior to becoming a flight attendant for American Airlines. She married Gilbert (Gib) Dawson of Douglas Arizona and they resided in both Phoenix and Tucson. She was a hospital volunteer, member of the KIWI Club and Sky Harbor Auxiliary an Active member of her church and was retired from the State of Arizona Health Department. She enjoyed ice skating, snow skiing, dancing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Marion will always be remembered for her love and compassion to others. Marion is survived by Gib, her husband of 48 years, her 3 children and their spouses; Gilbert and Karen Dawson, Carolyn Dawson and Mark Stymiest and Glenn and Carol Dawson, 5 grandchildren; Taylor, Coleton, Travis, Lauren and Mark. She is also survived by her sister Hermine Walkden, brother Louis LeTourneau and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister Helen Rilett and Ethel Betit and brother George LeTourneau. Visitation 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E Greenway Rd. Phoenix. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Sheperd of the Valley Lutheran Church at 1500 West Maryland in Phoenix. Memorials to Virginia G.
